How iStateBar, its optional Sensors companion and this website handle information. Updated October 5, 2026.
Local monitoring
System and device readings are processed on your Mac. Storage capacity and free space are device metadata. Monitoring does not read personal file contents or upload readings to us. Preferences, layout and floating positions are stored locally. The current app has no advertising, analytics SDKs or app account.
Purchases and the trial
Apple handles Store purchases, payments and refunds. iStateBar verifies purchases and trial access locally through StoreKit. A local Keychain record helps prevent trial clock rollback and cannot grant paid access. Restore and uninstall do not restart the trial. We do not request Apple Account passwords or payment card details.
Optional companion
Sensors sends read-only telemetry to the verified iStateBar app on the same Mac. It does not upload readings, control fans or authorize purchases. Background activity is enabled only by your choice. Stop readings in the companion to stop its service.
Website and external services
This website uses no analytics, advertising scripts or site-script tracking cookies. The host may process IP addresses, browser requests and service logs to deliver and protect the website. There is currently no independent update or website licensing service connected to the app. Apple distributes Store updates. External services have their own privacy policies.
Support and your controls
We receive your email address, message and chosen attachments only when you contact support. We use them to handle your request and retain them for the time needed to do so. Email us to request access, correction or deletion of support information. Do not include passwords or unrelated private files. You can disable blocks, stop Sensors, turn off launch at login or uninstall. Uninstalling does not remove Apple purchase records or the local trial record.
